HC-One’s Acomb Court care home in Hexham has joined up with Little Movers Nursery for an intergenerational initiative which aims to bring young and old together.
A group of Residents met with children from Little Movers Nursery to take part in some group activities from dancing to gentle exercises. Everyone had a great time taking part in the session, with Residents enjoying chatting with the children and seeing them dance around.
Francoise, a Resident at Acomb Court said: "Its great fun to play games with the little ones, it does both them and us a lot of good."
Catherine McCarron, Home Manager at Acomb Court: “It is heart-warming to see the children interacting with our Residents, intergenerational relationships are so important and have a real positive impact on wellbeing.”
