Imogen runs to surprise care home residentsHawthorn Court Care Home Residents will be cheering on a local school girl who is taking part in the Junior Great North Run on 9th September.

7 year old Imogen Ingram of Hebburn plans to help fundraise for Hawthorn Court Resident’s comfort fund.

Imogen wavesto the Residents every morning on her way to St Aloysius School, having met some of the Residents previously whilst at nursery a few years ago; she sang a few songs with all her nursery friends and the home and its Residents has stuck with her since.

Hawthorn Court is celebrating achieving an average 9.7 score on leading industry comparison website carehome.co.uk. The places the home amongst the most highly-regarded in the region, dedicated to delivering the kindest care.

Samantha Ingram, Imogen’s mum, said:

“I asked Imogen if she’d like to run in aid of a charity and she said she wanted to do something special for the Residents. She’s hoping to raise enough to lay on a special afternoon for them.

“She’s so caring and thoughtful. We couldn’t be prouder of her”.

Hawthorn Court Care Home Manager, Amanda Sleightholme, said:

“It’s so lovely that Imogen would think to fundraise for Hawthorn Court’s Residents.

“Her beautiful smile gives them a lift each morning and we can’t wait to celebrate her crossing the finish line.
