Due to recent circumstances Colleagues decided that they had to do something special to pick up the mood for the staff and Residents at
Victoria Park.
Colleagues decided to designate one day to a full 80's theme, the clothes, decor, music, hair, everything. This was successful and put a smile on every bodies faces as Residents danced around dressed up in bright neon clothing and jewellery.
Victoria Park maintenance man even pulled off a lovely mullet hairstyle for the whole day. The Residents joined in with the singing and dancing and some of them even dressed the part too, one in particular had the full works with the glittery pink top, bright green blazer and eye-catching beads.
Later in the day, Residents enjoyed a buffet at tea time and also enjoyed some snacks throughout the day whilst they listened to a large variety of songs from the 80's and a sing a long session on the karaoke.
In the popular town of Ilkeston in Derbyshire, Victoria Park is a small, friendly home with 39 beds, which offers residential and nursing care.
