Ilford care home festival brings community together to celebrate autumnA harvest festival held at HC-One’s Seabrooke Manor care home in Ilford helped Residents to meet new people, make new friends and have meaningful moments in the company of others.

The event was also in support of Silver Sunday, which helps combat loneliness within the community and helps to increase happiness and wellbeing.

Seabrooke Manor welcomed members of the local community to mark the start of the autumn season on Friday, October 5 and hosted a range of harvest-themed activities as well as live entertainment with refreshments.

Residents and staff donated remaining harvest collection goods to their neighbours and Fernway’s Assisted Living Complex, who commented:

“Thank you so much for supporting us with your kind donation.”

Stephen Bennett, Deputy Manager at HC-One’s Seabrooke Manor said:

“Combining Silver Sunday and Harvest festival gave Residents the opportunity to get to know people in the community and to build relationships with each other.

“The event was a great success and we were so pleased to be able to donate valuable food to our neighbours.”
