Ilford care home celebrates egg-cellent EasterIt was a lively atmosphere as Residents at Seabrooke Manor celebrated Easter with their Relatives during a party held at the home, with an afternoon tea included in the celebrations, alongside a sing-a-long.

The Easter bunny also hopped into the home to hand out Easter eggs which impressed Residents as they appreciated the gifts and enjoyed having fun together. Residents were able to reminisce with their families, about their past Easter celebrations together, which was a wonderful chance to re-live happy times.

Easter is the most important date in the Christian calendar and celebrates the day that Jesus rose again. The date of Easter changes every year and is usually marked on the first Sunday after the full moon or on or after 21st March because it is based on the Lunar calendar.

Stephen Bennett, Home Manager, commented: “We enjoyed the day of celebrations, and it made it fun for Residents to receive a visit from the Easter bunny, they especially enjoyed this surprise as they loved the gesture of being given Easter eggs. It has been such a good way to encourage social interaction between the Residents.”
