Hyde care home toasts to the New YearResidents and team members at HC-One’s The Sycamores care home in Hyde, Tameside came together on New Year’s Eve to celebrate the end of 2020 and the start of 2021.

Everyone enjoyed a special buffet lunch with delicious treats from pork pies to cakes, all with a tipple or two of their favourite drink.

Residents shared stories and laughter filled The Sycamores, with everyone being excited for a new chapter to begin.

A great time was had by all, with one Resident commenting: “It is nice to come together to celebrate the positives after a strange year.”

Residents enjoyed an entertaining Christmas show, singing and dancing along to the performances.

Everyone was dressed to a T with party hats, crowns and colourful leis.

Residents and Colleagues alike sang, danced and laughed as they said goodbye to a difficult year and toasted with a positive attitude to 2021.

The Sycamores Home Manager, Carol Potts said: “After a difficult year for most with the global COVID-19 pandemic, we were pleased to celebrate the start of a new year. On behalf of everyone at The Sycamores, best wishes for 2021.”
