Hull care home makes new furry friends for animal therapyKesteven Grange care home in Hull welcomed some new furry friends to the home as Residents enjoyed an afternoon of animal therapy.

Residents were smiling from ear to ear as they got to meet the giant, fluffy rabbits, which proved to be great company for those living in the home.

The rabbits received lots of strokes, as they provided a relaxing and therapeutic activity for Residents living with dementia in the memory care lounge.

Mrs Welsh and her daughter were delighted to join in with the activity, as rabbits were often a family pet in their household.

The session was a great success with Residents and their loved ones alike, as one Relative said: “It is just great to see mum’s face light up!”

One person living at Kesteven Grange added: “They are so cute! We used to have rabbits at our house all of the time.”
