Huddersfield care home promotes Resident wellbeing with animal therapyThe Denby care home in Huddersfield was delighted to welcome William the Cockapoo to the home for an afternoon of animal therapy with those living at the home. 

Residents were delighted to be introduced to a new furry friend, as eight year old Cockapoo William wandered round the home and received lots of cuddles and strokes. 

William’s visit brought much joy to Residents at The Denby, as many dog-loving Residents shared memories of growing up with family pets in their childhood. 

Animal therapy is one of the most popular activities amongst Residents at The Denby, as it aims to promote wellbeing and comfort to those who participate in the activities. 

One Resident commented: “It was so lovely to meet William, I miss my dog so much.” Another added that it was the highlight of their week.”
