The team at HC-One’s Melbury Court Care Home in Durham organise a Country and Western day for Resident Bill Davies, after he expressed a keen interest in that genre of music.
He loves Country and Western music and would love to visit Memphis, his favourite artist is Frankie Lane and his favourite song is ‘Cool Water’.
Upon discovering Bill’s wish, the team at Melbury Court organised a country and Western singer, Jessi Ross, to entertain everyone and encouraged everyone to dress down as cowboys.
In an arts and crafts session, Residents painted tepees that were built and put up around the home and homemade Cacti, adding to the Western ambience.
Bill commented:
“I had the best time, it was a brilliant afternoon.”
