Housekeeper retires after twenty years at Kendal care homeAngustia Taylor, joined the team at Summerhill care home in Kendal – part of HC-One, the kind care company – in August 1999 and has recently decided to retire after twenty years’ service at the home.

The rest of the team at Summerhill wanted to honour Angustia by celebrating her hard work and commitment over the last twenty years, so they organised a surprise leaving party for her. Angustia was thrilled with the party which was attended by members of the team and some Residents.

When asked how she plans to spend her retirement Angustia said she will be spending quality time with her friends and family. As she is also a keen gardener and sewer so she intends to spend more pursuing her hobbies.

Summerhill Home Manager, Kathleen Dean said: “Angustia was a real asset to the team and is highly regarded by both her Colleagues and Residents at Summerhill. She will be dearly missed but we wish her all the best and hope she comes to visit us all again very soon.”
