Horsham Resident’s winning entry in the gardening competitionJackie Howick is a keen gardener and Resident at Oakhill House care home, in Horsham, Sussex. And was very pleased that the home recently won in the annual HC-One gardening Competition.

Jackie had planted and tended to raised flower beds after her arrival at Oakhill House in June 2020.

Her efforts have transformed the outlook from her own and her neighbours' rooms.

During the summer, Residents enjoyed seeing the fruits of her labours whilst enjoying the sunshine on the patio.

Residents always love the bright and cheerful colours of the bedding plants.

When Jackie was told about her prize in the Green Fingers category, she said "Well that will come in handy!"

Home Manager, Shaun Matthews, remarked, “Jackie is now a very well-deserved winner of the annual gardening competition.”
