Residents and Colleagues at The Glen were pleasantly surprised to receive a visit from two miniature ponies from the local stables. The stables specialise in visits to care homes and schools throughout Somerset.
Everyone was especially impressed with how friendly and calm the ponies were, as they toured the home and visited each Resident for a ‘pat the pony’ session.
Residents found the animals to be adorable, as one stated: “They are so friendly and patient as they are visiting everyone in the home. What lovely creatures.”
Terri-Ann Weatherhall, Home Manager, commented: “It was lovely to see the interaction between the Residents and the ponies. The handlers were able to answer so many questions and give us all useful information about the animals.”
