Honiton care home team receives award for kindnessHC-One’s Gittisham Hill House care home in Honiton is celebrating the work of the whole care team after receiving a Kindness in Care Award for their thoughtful and conscientious attitudes.

The Kindness in Care Awards programme was launched by HC-One, a leading provider in health and social care, in October 2013.  It recognises the efforts of their kindest Colleagues, and the impact they have on the lives of Residents and their loved ones. Month on month, record breaking numbers of awards are presented to colleagues, volunteers, and whole teams within the family of homes that HC-One operates across the UK.

The team at the home were surprised when an ‘emergency home meeting’ was called by Area Director, Debbie Flanagan, who announced that the team have been awarded a group Kindness in Care award. The award was given after a glowing thank you letter from a Relative was received for the effort that the team has gone to for her Mother’s [Resident] birthday celebrations.
