Honiton care home holds touching remembrance serviceHC-One’s Gittisham Hill House care home in Honiton held an emotional remembrance service ahead of Armistice Day on Sunday 11th November.

Residents gathered to pay a personal tribute, everyone wrote the name of a loved one they lost in the war on a poppy. The local vicar performed a remembrance service and the poppies were placed in the garden.

The service was very emotional for everyone, as they remembered those who gave their lives during the war. Afterwards, Residents commented that it was a wonderful and touching service.

Marita Westaway, Home Manager at Gittisham Hill House commented:

“It was lovely to see Residents sharing stories of loved ones as they made their poppies.

“The service was so beautiful and we are proud to show all of our poppies in our garden, even at night the centre wreath shines brightly.”
