Hollymere welcome Mayor and Mayoress to opening of new Sensory Garden
Residents and Colleagues at HC-One’s Hollymere House care home in Crewe welcomed the Mayor and Mayoress, Mr Arthur Moran and Mrs Carole Thomas as they officially opened their brand new sensory garden.  The home was also delighted to welcome Princes trust leaders Sarah McCreaddie and Conner Lafferty.

Over £400 was raised by The Princes Trust, and meant the garden could undergo a complete renovation, which included a new patio area, sensory area and freshly painted woodwork.

Councillors Dorothy Floode and Jackie Weatherall also attended. Guests and Residents enjoyed a special afternoon tea and buffet in honour of the occasion.

The sensory garden will provide an interactive outdoor space for Residents to enjoy and is yet another way that HC-One can continue to provide the kindest possible care to their Residents.

Rob Wheatley, Home Manager at HC-One’s Hollymere House commented:

“We would like to extend a huge thank you to the Princes Trust for this wonderful new addition to the home. I would also like to thank the Mayor and Mayoress for taking the time to visit the home as it has really made our Residents Day! This garden is just another way we can keep providing kind care for everyone in our home.”

Hollymere House is located in Crewe Road and offers short and long-term care to elderly members of the community needing Residential and Nursing Care. The home is also currently celebrating a rating of 9.6 on carehome.co.uk
