Hollymere House Residents have a hoot as they welcome feathery friends to the homeResidents at Hollymere House in Haslington had a right hoot as they welcomed a flying visit from some feathery friends.

Everyone was delighted to meet the two owls, Spike and Grudles, as Residents were given the opportunity to hold the feathery guests.

After holding the owls, Residents enjoyed an interesting question and answer session where they found out more about the owls’ habitats and hunting techniques.

One Resident commented: “I really enjoyed meeting Spike and Grudles, and even plucked up the bravery to hold them.”

Rob Wheatley, Home Manager at Hollymere House, said: “Meeting the two owls was a wonderful experience and the Residents absolutely loved it. Pet therapy is one of the most popular activities we have on offer here, as it really helps the Residents to relax and try new things.”
