Resident Thomas Sansome, the eldest at HC One’s The Willows care home, got to enjoy a catch up with his daughter today through the window.
Thomas’ daughter Suzanne always visited the home twice a day to come and see her dad, however with the unusual circumstances we are all facing she has sadly been unable to come inside. So Suzanne came up with another way to get to interact with her father.
As Suzanne was out taking her exercise for the day in Hinckley, she stopped off at the care home window to see him again. Tom has been missing spending time with his daughter regularly, so this was a lovely surprise for him to see her face to face again.
Colleagues at the home said it was lovely to see the smiles on both of their faces as they had a catch up. Tom also showed Suzanne the letter he’d received from the family, including some photographs sent with it too, it was a very touching moment.
One of the staff at The Willows commented “It brought a tear to my eye to see how happy it made both Tom and Suzanne to just spend some time together catching up through the window.”
