Hinckley Park Residents participate in RSPB Big Garden BirdwatchSeveral Residents at HC-One’s Hinckley Park Care Home took part in the RSPB’s annual Big Garden Birdwatch on Monday 29th January.

Participants spent an hour watching Hinckley Park’s garden, during that time they recorded nine blackbirds, eight woodpigeons, seven house sparrows, three robins and two grey tits. The Residents said they really enjoyed the feeling of contributing to a national project.

The Big Garden Birdwatch has been running for forty years and provides the RSPB with an overview of the changing habits of our wildlife. The data is also used in the BBC’s annual Springwatch show.

The data collected by Residents at Hinckley Park has been sent back to the RSPB and the national report will be distributed in the coming weeks.
