Residents at
Hinckley Park, residential and nursing care home, in Leicestershire, are already preparing for the Diamond Jubilee.
As Queen Elizabeth II is due to be celebrating 70 years on the throne, Hinckley Park Residents are veery excited very excited for the upcoming party.
There is lots of preparation and so far, both the staff and Residents have been very busy. So far, the Union Jack baubles are hanging up on the inside tree and messages the Quenn have been displayed all over the walls. The garden is also getting a makeover with lots of decorative bunting.
As well as decorations in the home, the Residents are keen to get dressed up. They have been looking forward to wearing crowns that are armed with lots of gems, jewels, and anything else that glitters. Resident have made the crowns themselves and excited to showcase them at the party.
This is going to be the biggest party at Hinckley Park this year and everyone is really looking forward to it.
Richard, a Resident, said, “It feels like we have bene to see the crown jewels! I am really looking for the party in June.”
Karen Holmes, Care Home Manager, commented, “It is a very exciting time, and the Residents are really looking forward to it!”
