Highfield enjoy a visit from Zoolab and their exotic animalsHC-One’s Highfield Care Home in Yarm hosted a visit from Zoolab this week, where the Residents enjoyed meeting and holding a range of exotic animals.

The visit was organised by Liz Harper, Wellbeing Co-Ordinator at Highfield and was attended by Residents and their relatives.

The Residents loved to see and hold the various animals that Zoolab had brought with them, including a rabbit, tortoise, snake, rat, salamander and a tarantula.

The handler spent time explaining everything about the different animals; where they originate from, how to look after them, what they eat and how long they live, which everyone found really interesting.

The Residents showed such an interest in the animals and Zoolab, that they have been booked to come back again later in the year.

Highfield’s Home Manager, Carolyn O’Lone commented:

“The Residents love the visits from Zoolab and the interaction they get with the different animals. It is an activity that all Residents enjoy.”
