Al and Joan Hall, both Residents at HC-One’s Highfield Care Home in Yarm, celebrated their Diamond wedding anniversary with a special celebration at the home.
Al and Joan have been married for 60 years having met at a local dance at the Masonic Hall in Stockton; it was love at first sight.
Al worked as a postman and while Joan worked on the railway. They went on to raise 2 children, Gillian and Brenda (who sadly passed away), and also have 2 grandchildren.
Both couples received an abundance of cards and flowers from relatives, friends and staff. They shared the celebrations with their friends, fellow Residents and staff members at the home, with a buffet dinner and the odd glass of fizz.
HC-One’s Highfield is also celebrating achieving a 9.9 average rating on the sector’s leading care home comparison website carehome.co.uk. The high rating puts HC-One homes into the very best company in the care home sector, committed to providing kind care to Residents. This also comes hot off the heels of the home recently being ranked in the Top 20 care homes in the North East.
