Hertfordshire care home celebrates glowing CQC report
Woodlands View Care Home in Stevenage, part of HC-One - The Kind Care Company, is celebrating its recent report from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) which rated the home ‘Good’ in all areas.
The team at Woodlands View were delighted to have received an impressive CQC report that rated the home as ‘Good’ in all areas, demonstrating that the home is providing high standards of care for Residents, demonstrating that the home is safe, responsive, and well-led.
The inspectors were full of praise for Colleagues at Woodlands View, highlighting the kind ways in which they provide care for Residents at the home. This sentiment was echoed by Residents and Relatives who told the CQC inspection team that the whole management team was approachable, friendly, and helpful.
One Relative commented: "Since my family member moved in, they have worked miracles - she is really happy here." Another Relative also praised the team by saying: “I am happy my family member receives a high standard of care and support in the home, the staff are kind, caring and very supportive. Not just to my family member, but to me also”.
Inspectors also commented on how there were activities and events available for Residents to help reduce social isolation and promote general well-being. Relatives mentioned that Colleagues at Woodlands View communicated well and also in ways that meets their needs. One Relative commented: “My family member mainly enjoys listening to music and enjoys her own company, but there are always activities for her to join in with”.
Located on Magpie Crescent, Woodlands View offers short and long term care packages for older people in Stevenage that require residential, nursing or nursing dementia care. The home is also proud to have a 9.7/10 average user rating on the sector leading comparison website, carehome.co.uk.
