Residents at HC-One’s Thamesfield care home recently enjoyed an boat trip with the Rivertime boat trust, along the Thames.
The sun shone on everyone as they set off along the River Thames towards Wargrave, and they were able to catch a glimpse of the local fire crew carrying out a practice rescue in the river.
As they sailed along the river, they took a break to enjoy a tipple of Pimms alongside some canapes, and Residents remarked at how they felt as though they were on a cruise liner.
Everyone enjoyed the view from the boat as they watched the sun slowly begin to set and they relaxed together. A great time was had by all, and the Residents hope to do it again soon.
Lina Nela, Home Manager, commented: “Residents have really enjoyed this evening boat trip. They are looking forward to hopefully do it again as they were all sad to have it end.”
