Hebburn Court, residential and nursing care home, in Tyne and Wear are overjoyed with the support of a local charity this year.
Hebburn Helps is a local charity who have worked with Hebburn Court throughout the year. The charity has been a huge support in making Christmas for the Residents extra special.
Hebburn Helps approached the care home in September and asked if there were any Residents without family members as they wanted to donate gifts to those who wouldn’t be receiving any.
The names of the Residents were provided and as a care home they worked really closely to the charity to personalise each gift.
Angela from Hebburn Helps got back to the care home and said they wanted to donate a gift to each Resident!
Christmas 2021 was special for all the Residents as they were presented with a hamper of all their favourite things.
The Residents were happy with all of their luxuries and treats that they wouldn’t normally buy for themselves.
Hebburn Helps went bigger and better this year which is so thoughtful, they also involved the NHS and St John’s Ambulance to help with organising the gifts.
One Resident, remarked, “I couldn’t believe it when I woke up this morning and saw all the presents laid out for me.”
Dale Summersby, Care Home Manager, commented, “All staff and Residents were overwhelmed by the kindness of Hebburn Helps and all involved. They go above and beyond for us throughout the year, this is why we have chosen to highlight them as our heroes.”
