HC-One’s Fosse Way View attends Dementia and Carers MarketplaceFosse Way View, a HC-One care home in Bingham and part of the Rushcliffe Dementia Action Network (RDAN), took part in the Dementia & Carers Marketplace at Rushcliffe Arena earlier this month.

The RDAN is led by Gwynneth Owen, Social Prescriber for Rushcliffe County Council, and brings together professionals to raise awareness of dementia and support carers. Clare Howarth, Resident Liaison Manager at Fosse Way View, joined RDAN in March 2024 - stressing the importance of community connections and supporting families of those with dementia.

At the Marketplace, Fosse Way View presented its services, including short breaks, respite stays, and permanent residential care. Residents Patsy Robets, Ginny Goold, and John Betts shared their experiences and handed out brochures.

“I think this is a very valuable network,” said Clare. “It’s important to us here at Fosse Way View to let carers know what support is out there for them. Supporting someone living with dementia can be incredibly difficult. We are proud to be part of this network.”

Residents also enjoyed activities with other stallholders, like plant potting with FarmEco and a sing-along with Joyful Jukebox.

Fosse Way View’s involvement in the Marketplace highlights their commitment to supporting residents with dementia and their families.
