HC-One’s County Durham Home Manager Kinga Kowaliczek shortlisted as a finalist for Care Home WorkerKinga Kowaliczek, registered Home Manager at HC-One’s Greenways Court Care Home in Consett, County Durham has been shortlisted as a finalist in the ‘Care Home Worker of the Year Award’ category by the judging panel at The Northern Echo Health and Care Awards 2022 in partnership with County Durham Care Partnership.

The Northern Echo Health and Care Awards are running for the second consecutive year, and are the culmination of a search to find the very best examples of excellence across the North East and North Yorkshire regions within the health and care sectors. The awards celebrate and recognise those who have gone the extra mile, shining a spotlight on those who richly deserve credit who have risen to the challenges presented by the global COVID-19 pandemic, overcoming adversity, showing strength, bravery, kindness, compassion and tenacity to serve their local communities, continuing to put others first.

Kinga has been named as a finalist in the ‘Care Home Worker of the Year Award’ category - an award that recognises the contribution made by an individual care home worker who always strives to improve the delivery of care within the care home sector, through developing ways to enhance nursing care. Kinga has been named as a finalist due to showing outstanding levels of commitment in the care services she provides at Greenways Court Care Home, always putting the Residents being cared for at the heart of everything she does.

Kinga has progressed from being a Carer to her current position as Home Manager at Greenways Court, a residential and residential dementia care home. In her role as Home Manager, Kinga is essentially ‘everything to everyone’ - a listening ear and friend for the Residents and their loved ones, a role model and leader for the team, and a regulatory and compliance manager for the organisation who manages the service to deliver good commercial outcomes.
