Holmwood care home in Sheffield has introduced a new Wish Tree to help staff make Residents’ dreams come true.
The tree contains the Residents’ wishes, which may range from their favourite meals, activities and experiences. These will then be moved onto the home’s Wish Board once they have been fulfilled.
The Activity Coordinator at Holmwood sat with each Resident and their Relatives to make sure that each wish was personal to them.
Tony, a Resident who wished to visit his favourite eatery for breakfast, said: “This is great, I have been looking forward to this all week.”
Vicki Leck, Home Manager at Holmwood, said: “Residents and their families really love the idea of our new Wish Tree. The whole team at Holmwood are all excited to start making even more dreams come true.”
