Colleagues at The Willows care home in Hinckley brought the seaside to the home as Residents made the most of the summer sunshine.
While Residents enjoyed a day of seaside activities, including the very popular hook-a-duck, staff arranged for an extra special seaside surprise – fish and chips.
Residents chose their favourite chip shop treats, including cod, battered sausage and mushy peas, as they tucked in and chatted about their favourite activities of the day.
The day was even rounded off with a Mr Whippy ice cream to help everyone remain cool and refreshed in the August sunshine.
Residents thoroughly enjoyed the day, especially the fish and chips, with Tom commenting: “I really love sitting out in the garden.”
