HC-One care home workers tackle 52 mile sponsored walk for ResidentsTeam members from three HC-One care homes in Fife completed a three day Fife Coastal Path walk from North Queensferry to Crail, totalling 52.5 miles to raise money for each homes’ Resident Comfort Fund.

The group of walkers all work as Care Assistants at three HC-One care homes in Fife, Lynda Elliott, Kylie Park and Paige Rolland from Balfarg in Glenrothes, Kirsty Wholton and Alana Rodger from Chapel Level in Kirkcaldy and Steven Milne from Woodside Court in Glenrothes.

The HC-One walkers experienced all of the elements throughout the three days in mid-July, but morale was high from start to finish with everyone offering support and encouragement when needed.

While the homes are still receiving more sponsorship money, it is estimated that as a group the three homes have raised a total of £800 which all be donated to Resident Comfort Funds in the respective homes.

HC-One Area Director, Mike Shea said: “What an amazing achievement! Well done to everyone who took part, it is a real testament to the incredible work you do every day and the dedication you have to making a difference to the lives of Residents.

“It is great to work with such inspirational, caring and kind people.”
