Hayes care home welcomes fluffy new ResidentsHC-One’s Aston House care home in Hayes has recently welcomed two new unusual Residents to the home.

Residents at Aston House expressed the wish to have their very own home pets, after discussions it was decided that the would purchase an incubator and raise chickens from the very start of their lives as a little egg.

Two fluffy little chicks hatched, with the Residents have named Laura and Daisy, everyone at the home has taken well to the new arrivals and are enjoying watching them grow and develop each day.

Seema Jose, Home Manager, commented: “The decision to have our own chickens was not taken lightly by me or the rest of the team at Aston House. However, two months later we are all sure that we have made the right decision, both Daisy and Laura are now part of the Aston House family and are having a really positive impact on the wellbeing of our Residents.”
