Residents from HC-One’s Aston House Care Home recently took a trip back in time as they enjoyed a visit to the local Maritime Museum.
The visit was focussed on the new exhibition at the museum – “The Moon” – as the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing was celebrated. Residents enjoyed exploring this exhibition as well as the many others throughout the museum.
For one Resident in particular, the visit was especially emotional as he remembered his father who served in the Royal Navy. He reminisced of his father’s experience and spoke of how difficult it would have been for him.
Of course, no trip is complete without a visit to the café, and Residents each enjoyed a slice of their favourite cake and a refreshment.
