Hayes Care Home Residents Delight In Watching Granddaughter Tie The KnotWedding bells rang as two Residents of Aston House care home in Hayes, attended the nuptials of their granddaughter and her partner.

Mary Seabrook and Janet Ovendon - grandmothers to bride Emma - were overjoyed to be assisted by Colleagues to attend the beautiful wedding in nearby Farnham, Surrey. It was their biggest wish to attend the event, and it was indeed a day of magical moments filled with laughter, love and spending time with family and friends.

The event was made even more emotional as their attendance was kept a surprise from other family members, so there was of course, not a dry eye to be seen once the ladies arrived. They spent their day smiling and described how happy they were to have been around their lovely family members, especially as it meant they were able to see their beautiful granddaughter get married.

Seema Jose, Aston House Home Manager, commented: “This is the second wedding we have organised for our Residents to attend in the past two years. We are empowering our Residents to do as much as they can, go out to as many places as physically possible and live the life they have always wanted and deserved to enjoy! A thank you goes to Laura- our wellbeing co-ordinator and Sarina- senior carer who both assisted Mary and Janet for this very special trip.”

Relatives of the Resident also expressed their gratitude to Aston House for organising this and enabling it to happen, as they were thrilled to see both ladies and felt it was an emotional day for all incolved.
