Residents and Colleagues at Aston House celebrated National Nurses Day in style as they held a party for all in the home to attend, in aid of all of the nurses and nursing assistants within the home, as well other Colleagues within the nursing industry.
Live entertainment took place with music for all to dance to, whilst food and refreshments were provided for all to enjoy.
A homemade cake was also baked, which was beautifully decorated to give thanks to nurses.
Resident, Alice, was also amongst those celebrated today as she was once a nurse, and went on to become a lecturer teaching fellow nurses. She remarked “I feel proud that there is such a day now and people do celebrate nurses because they do work hard!”
Seema Jose, Home Manager, also commented: “I would like to wish all the nurses within our home, and beyond, a very happy National Nurses Day! It is certainly not an easy job, but it is rewarding in many ways.”
