Hawthorn Court Residents enjoy South Shields seaside visitResidents at Hawthorn Court care home in Hebburn were delighted to take a trip to the coast for some fresh sea air.

Everyone gathered on the minibus to embark on their adventure to the beach, as Hawthorn Court staff were keen to make the most of the February sunshine.

While they enjoyed their tea and coffee, Residents talked amongst themselves about their memories of the seaside when they were younger and discussed how much the South Shields coastline had changed.

One Resident commented: “The trip to the seaside was lovely. I particularly enjoyed seeing all the beautiful flowers in the sunshine as we went down to the coast.”

Amanda Sleightholme, Home Manager, said: “Everyone was really keen to get out and about in the sunny weather, and what better way to do this than a trip to the coast. Our Residents all commented on how refreshing the trip was.”
