Hawaiian themed afternoon for Burnley care home ResidentsFor Nutrition and Hydration Week, the Residents at Dove Court residential, nursing, residential dementia and nursing dementia care home, in Lancashire, had a lovely time for their Hawaiian themed afternoon.

The home had a Hawaiian themed dress code with Residents and Colleagues all wearing flower garlands and, for an extra bit of fun, some large sunglasses and sun hats. See pictured Residents Ann Barrett, Harold Corr and Suzie Kershaw, sporting their fancy attire.

Then, Residents took part in Hawaiian themed games, such as Hoola, pineapple bowling, hoopla and beach ball games.

The Residents enjoyed eating the various fruits and drinking lots of fruit juice.

Steph Tillotson, Activities Coordinator, remarked, “It was lovely to see the Residents enjoying themselves. Many commented that they had a simply ‘fabulous’ afternoon!”
