Residents and Colleagues at HC-One’s Haven care home were delighted to welcome some feathered friends recently.
Miniature hens were brought into the home to meet the Residents, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed having them run around the home’s garden. Residents were so surprised to be visited by the chickens, commenting on how small and timid the animals seemed.
Residents enjoyed petting the animals and cuddling them as they enjoyed the visit from the feathered creatures.
Daryl Winsor, Home Manager, commented: “It’s been lovely to have the hens visit the home today, Residents and Colleagues have really enjoyed themselves and love being around animals like this.”
