Residents at HC One’s The Sycamores care home have been getting ready for the harvest festival.
For the Hyde care homes Harvest Festival today, Colleagues and Residents celebrated together with a party.
With help from the residents, the staff assembled a centre display of the foods they have donated. Fresh fruits and vegetables were also added to this.
The home had different types of drinks and snacks such as different flavoured ales and barley juice, cakes and tarts with various fillings such as apple and jams plus freshly baked breads.
Everyone celebrated the day by listening to church hymns, having a group sing a longs to dated music and also dancing.
The Residents really enjoyed the afternoon and were encouraged to talk about the harvest and what types of foods are expected during this time of the year.
