Celebrations were in full swing as Residents and Colleagues at HC-One’s Ashgrove care home enjoyed harvest festival alongside Relatives and friends.
The celebrations began as the church visited the home to perform a harvest festival service, complete with hymns and prayers for all to join in with.
A variety of non-perishable food donations were brought in by visitors which were gratefully accepted by the church’s local food bank, with some even donating pet items to help animals in need.
Everyone concluded the event with a sing-a-long followed by a warm drink and a slice of home made cake.
Julie Jones, home manager, commented: “It has been an absolutely wonderful afternoon filled with happiness and joy. It is always lovely to welcome the local community to the home.”
