Harvest festival at The HornchurchResidents and Colleagues at HC-One’s The Hornchurch care home enjoyed harvest festival celebrations in the home as they combined the event with a Macmillan coffee morning.

The events took place in two separate areas of the home, with autumnal decorations adorning the home, including pumpkins, candlres and lights, as well as an autumnal tree.

St. Andrews Church led a harvest service complete with hymns before everyone sat to enjoy the coffee morning which was held for all Residents, Relatives and visitors of the home.

A lucky dip stall, raffle and sweet stall were each in place as five boxes of donations were collected for Friends of London and Essex Homeless Shelter.

Tania Banner, Home Manager, commented: “Days like this one are so important for our Residents as they have always celebrated them, either with family or religiously. We have enjoyed celebrating together and look forward to our next event.”
