Harvest Festival at Daneside Mews
A harvest festival held at HC-One’s Daneside Mews helped Residents to meet new people, make new friends and have meaningful moments in the company of others.

The event was also in support of Silver Sunday, which helps combat loneliness within the community and helps to increase happiness and wellbeing.

Daneside Mews welcomed members of the local community to mark the start of the autumn season on Friday 5th October and hosted a range of harvest themed activities including welcoming a choir of local children to the home.

The home had collected donations of food to be given to the local salvation army to distribute to the needy in the area.

Silver Sunday celebrates older people and helps to combat loneliness, while Harvest Festival celebrates food that’s grown and produced on England’s home soil.

HC-One Daneside Mews Care Home Manager, Becky Walker said:

"What a wonderful day here at Daneside celebrating Harvest Festival. It was an absolute pleasure to see the Residents and their families up enjoy the school children’s visit and would also like to say a big thank you to my wonderful team and those that came in on their days off to help out!"
