Harvest celebrations at Woodlands ViewCelebrations were in full swing at HC-One’s Woodlands View care home, as the home held its harvest festival on Friday 27th September.

To celebrate harvest festival, everyone took part in making soup and bread together, whilst the home’s chef made a display of wheatsheaf bread for everyone to enjoy and sample.

Relatives and friends of the home kindly made donations of tins and non-perishable food items which were collected for the homeless charity, Haven.

During the afternoon, the home were joined by MP Stephen McPartland as everyone gave thanks for the harvest by singing hymns and reciting prayers.

MP McPartland remarked at how much of a pleasure it was to join in with the celebrations and see everyone have fun together.

Deby O'Hare, home manager, commented: “It was a wonderful day for our Residents who felt very honoured to be attending this event alongside Relatives and friends. Everyone has thoroughly enjoyed themselves.”
