Hartlepool care home Residents serenaded by local singing duoResidents at HC-One’s Sheraton Court care home in Hartlepool enjoyed a serenade through the window from two local singers who voluntarily visited the home to help cheer up Residents during these unprecedented times.

On Monday 22nd June, Sheraton Court Residents were treated to a 2-hour set from two local singers who sang songs from an array of different eras, from Matt Monro in the 60’s to now with George Ezra.

Residents from all floors of the homes gathered in the garden, whilst following social distancing rules, and enjoyed the sun and the music with a drink of their choice; juice, tea or coffee. Choc ices were also on offer and everyone had a lovely afternoon.

Sheraton Court Resident, Marie said: “I have really enjoyed the day and loved the fresh air.”

Going outside is so beneficial to Residents as it lifts their spirits, improves sleep and strengthens their immune system. Now that lockdown is over, Residents can now start to enjoy the lovely weather outdoors and will benefit hugely from this.

Sheraton Court Home Manager, Carol Thompson said: “It’s so nice to see the residents out in the garden again, we are going to start doing this more often now restrictions have eased.”
