Residents at Hartford Court enjoyed a bake off earlier this week, which prompted them to reminisce about their cooking and baking days.
The Residents all really enjoyed weighing out the ingredients and mixing the cake batter together, chatting as they went. They also loved watching the cakes rise in the oven and everyone commented on how amazing they smelt.
Later, once the cakes had cooled down, they all had a great time decorating the cakes with their own designs.
The Residents commented on how great they all looked, with one commenting:
“This is so lovely, it reminds me of when I used to help my mum cook.”
Home Manager, Blessing Giwa, commented:
“It’s amazing seeing the Residents getting such enjoyment out of activities within Hartford Court and I loved hearing all of the memories that it helped bring back.”
