Harrogate care home celebrates Yorkshire DayHC-One’s Grosvenor House care home in Harrogate celebrated ‘all things Yorkshire’ for Yorkshire Day on Thursday 1st August.

Established in 1975 by the Yorkshire Ridings Society, Yorkshire Day is celebrated on August 1st and promotes the historic English county of Yorkshire. Everyone at Grosvenor House was delighted to celebrate a day all about their home county, the home was beautifully decorated with the Yorkshire flag and bunting.

Residents came together for a traditional Yorkshire meal, with a Yorkshire pudding and gravy starter, a fish and chip main served in paper finished off with strawberries and cream. Afterwards, everyone shared interesting facts about Yorkshire and its history, the whole day was enjoyed by all.
