Hard work pays off for Shelton Lock ColleaguesStaff at Shelton Lock care home in Derby were delighted to enhance their skills in providing the kindest possible care as they embarked on the Nursing Assistant program.

Senior Carers Rebeka Drew and Chrissie Fuller undertook the nine week-long intensive training course, where they attended a number of practical and theory training sessions. Here, they learned about medical conditions, leadership skills and first aid, which will be useful within their new roles at Shelton Lock.

Carole, a Resident at the home, said: “It’s been nice watching Rebeka and Chrissie learn and see them grow in confidence. I am really happy for them.”

Nicola Millar, Home Manager, said: “At HC-One, we strive to enhance our skills to provide the kindest possible care to our Residents. I am extremely proud of both Rebeka and Chrissie, who have worked really hard to excel in the Nursing Assistant program.”
