National Caregiver’s Day was celebrated at Glanffrwd care home in Bridgend as staff were rewarded for their hard work and commitment to providing the best possible care to Residents.
The day, which is observed annually on the third Friday in February, honours the men and women dedicated to providing these vital health care services to for those who require long-term or respite care.
Staff were given some delicious treats to show how much their hard work is appreciated. Tracy, the home’s Chef, baked a batch of lovely cupcakes, while Home Manager Joan ordered pizzas for the staff to enjoy for lunch.
One Resident commented: “What a lovely thing to do. The staff work so hard, so it’s nice to see them get treated now and then.”
Joan Thomas, Home Manager at Glanffrwd, said: “At HC-One, kindness is at the heart of everything we do, and the team here at Glanffrwd demonstrate this every day. It was great to treat the staff and show everyone how much they are appreciated.”
