Residents at Bankhouse Care Home enjoyed preparing for the Royal Ascot horse racing recently.
Everyone got creative and made rosettes together as they happily chatted away excitedly. The home was lucky to receive a visit during the week from two horses, and it gave Residents, Colleagues and Relatives the opportunity to feed the horses and have a closer look at the beautiful animals.
When the races began, all Residents and Relatives took part in a ‘race day’ afternoon as they each enjoyed a small tipple of their choice, alongside various snacks and treats.
Of course, everyone got into the competitive spirit as they each chose a horse they wanted to win.
Janet Barnes, Home Manager, commented: “It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying themselves, a great day was definitely had by all.”
