Halloween celebrations at Whitley Bay care homeResidents, team members and visitors at HC-One’s Eastbourne House care home in Whitley Bay were treated to a day of fang-tastic fun on Halloween.

Halloween is an annual celebration that originated as an ancient Celtic festival where people would wear costumes to scare off ghosts. Since then, it has evolved into a day of fun festivities, including trick-or-treating and pumpkin carving.

To celebrate, Eastbourne House hosted a spook-tacular Halloween party where Residents and guests were treated to live entertainment and delicious food. There was also a Halloween costume competition, everyone put on their best outfits but the winner was Wellbeing Coordinator, Damaris Martin dressed as Raphtalia from Shield Hero.

Debbie White, Home Manager at Eastbourne House said: “All of our Residents were very excited for the day. Halloween is a popular celebration and many of our Residents excitedly told stories of what they used to do at Halloween when they were younger.”
