Halloween went with a swing at White Gables Care Home this year with Residents' families joining in the party. Great fun was had with Halloween pass the parcel, a Halloween mystery box with gooey things inside to feel and guess what they were - noodles in strawberry jelly, pumpkin innards and a coconut! There was karaoke to entertain all for the last hour of the party while the Residents and guests enjoyed their buffet tea.
As well as the festivities there were kindness in care awards handed out to the kitchen staff for their hard work in maintaining our high standards and keeping the kitchen at a 5* hygiene rating. Also presented with awards were Carer Jo Wrench, Nurse Juby Soncy, Carers David Scaresbrook, Holly Sewell and Nursing Assistant Jess Hayes for their continued hard work and dedication to the company.
Nursing Assistant Jess Hayes said: “I really enjoyed the karaoke, Katherine’s got a great voice, and she should do it more often.”
