Residents at HC-One’s Grosvenor Park care home were delighted to welcome children from the local nursery again to celebrate Halloween in the home.
A party was held for all to enjoy, as exciting activities were prepared, from creating pumpkin pictures to playing balloon games.
The home’s catering team created some spooky treats, such as jelly with ‘snake’ sweets inside, and everyone had a wonderful time together as laughter was shared, Residents enjoy the regular company of the nursery group, so this Halloween themed visit was even more exciting.
Residents spoke of their memories they had of celebrating Halloween as children, and the traditions they would have in their families, which the children enjoyed listening to and asking questions about.
Jackie O’Callaghan, home manager, commented: “It was wonderful to see everyone having such a lovely time together, we really enjoy the children visiting, it’s a wonderful boost for the Residents.”
